I spent more than 5 years with a major international accountancy firm as an IT consultant in the UK and overseas. Roles I have worked in include Head of Marketing, and as a Commercial Manager.

I have worked internationally, with periods in Russia, the Middle East, Central Asia and other regions - therefore I am culturally sensitive and adaptable.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is relaxed (but with a focus on exam technique) and I believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience, as should teaching. My extensive commercial experience enables me to communicate the subjects I tutor with many examples of application in practice, from manufacturing to marketing. I aim to enable a student to achieve easy recall of the basic knowledge for the 'bread and butter' marks, removing pressure to enable them to concentrate on gaining the extra marks which require them to demonstrate their full understanding of the subject at their level.

To achieve this, I believe that personal interaction between student and tutor is essential; therefore I do not offer remote tutoring via web, though I will accept work for review by email as part of a normal tutoring arrangement.

Private Tutor - Next Steps?

If you wish to arrange an informal discussion, tutorial session, or just want to know more about using a private tutor, then please email me or telephone.

Don't leave it too late as my diary is filling rapidly for the run up to the next examinations!

On more thing - I teach only in English, I do not speak Maltese.
